POS Recommendations to Customers, Part
4 Ithaca Itherm280 versus Epson
TM-T88III The Ithaca
iTherm 280 prints a bit faster than the Epson
TM-T88III and it has a built in power supply and is
able to print two color. http://www.ithper.com/products/thermal/280itherm/index.asp
The
Kitchenjet has a loud buzzer so you know when an order
comes through. http://www.ithper.com/products/inkjet/kitchenjet1000/
Access Database We are excited at
working with your company. Cash
Register Express uses an Access database. You can
import data via Ascii transfer ( I will instructions in
my next email ). What we have is a simple sales pass to
Quickbooks. CRE will take your sales totals, sales tax
totals, and undeposited funds and put them into a folder
for easy import into Quickbooks. We have an Enterprise
edition which costs extra, it can be used to poll from
multiple locations into a central office. Much better,
however is our real time Enterprise edition which
works over a virtual private network.
Feel free
to call me with any questions.
Computer
Demands For your workstations, Pentium 4, 40 Gig
harddrive and 256 RAM should do the trick. Your
backoffice computer will be doing double duty (office
stuff and server) so 512 RAM is recommended. And it
should have a CD burner for back up.
POS
System A POS system is no reason to lose your
mind. If you call me I will make things much easier for
you. I can send you a CD with Cash Register Express on
it, but I do not have your address. I still think the
key to everything is a simple 5 minute phone
conversation. I have a 100% customer satisfaction rate,
but would never sell anyone a system without first
understanding their store.
