The purpose of the age verifier is to provide real-time data to allow age and fraudulent and/or expiered drivers' license and ID card determination. The 2000PMB-4 Age Verifier takes drivers' licensees from more than 25 states and Canadian provinces that contain a magnetic stripe. It also accepts Canadian health cards and INS (immigration and naturalization service) magnetic-stripe-encoded cards. Additionaly, an external handheld or mounted scanner for hands-free use may be connected to the Age Vefifier I/O serial port

The 2000PMP-4 has a PDF-417 insertion slot reader that can read the information in the high density PDF-417 2d barcodes used on over 40 US drivers' licenses, and on Canadian IDs. We have other  mobile models and PC-based models for age verification & Point of Sale. PC models can read magstripe credit cards and UPC barcodes. Even though the main use of the age verifier is in retail POS, it can be used for security checking and drivers license validation applications. Fake licenses and ID cards can be smoked out by comparing the displayed info to the data printed on the card and by data format verification.

The standard Age Verifier stores up to 5000,000 bytes of information that can be transferred toa  host computer or printerd on a stand-alone line printer for a transaction paper trail. Application program options are available that allow printing just the important transaction data to be stored (for point of sale records), or provide for the capture of the complete license data to be stored in a PC for other uses.
