	Setting up your POS System Receipt Printer \| Cash Drawer \| Barcode Scanner \| Credit Card Reader \| Pole Display Receipt Printer: Epson TM-U220 - If Windows does not automatically detect and install this printer, go to the "add printer wizard" which is in your "printer and faxes" folder in the control panel. When it asks you for manufacturer, select "generic" and type "text only". In Cash Register Express go to the options screen ---> setup---> set default printer and choose this printer as your default printer. Then follow the "friendly printer setup" which can be found at http://www.internationalpointofsale.com/printerfriendlysetup.html Epson TM-T88III - You will need your CRE disk for this installation. Follow this guide to install the Epson TM drivers : http://www.internationalpointofsale.com/installingepsondrivers.html Then follow the "friendly printer setup" which can be found at http://www.internationalpointofsale.com/printerfriendlysetup.html. In Cash Register Express go to the options screen ---> setup---> set default printer and choose this printer as your default printer. Cash Drawer : Any Cash Drawer: Your cash drawer comes with a phone cable. Connect one end to the back of the cash drawer and the other end to the phone jack on the back of the printer (sometimes there will be a label that says which end goes to cash drawer). Then go to the options screen of CRE --->setup--->setup screen--->hardware and go to where it says "cash drawer port". Select the same port that your printer is connected to (if you have a parallel printer, it's most likely "lpt1" and serial is most likely "com1". Barcode Scanner: Any USB barcode scanner: Just plug the scanner into an available USB port and it should work right away. Any Keyboard Wedge scanner: 1. If you don't have a keyboard wedge credit card reader: Your scanner comes with two heads on the end of the cable. One head plug into the keyboard port. Plug the keyboard into the other end. It should work now. 2. If you have a keyboard wedge credit card reader: Your credit card reader comes with two heads on the end of the cable. Plug one head of the barcode scanner into the keyboard port. Plug one head of the credit card reader into the remaining end of the barcode scanner. Then plug the keyboard into the remaining head of the card reader. Credit Card Reader: Any USB barcode scanner: Just plug the scanner into an available USB port and it should work right away. Any Keyboard Wedge credit card reader: 1. If you have a keyboard wedge scanner: Your credit card reader comes with two heads on the end of the cable. Plug one head of the barcode scanner into the keyboard port. Plug one head of the credit card reader into the remaining end of the barcode scanner. Then plug the keyboard into the remaining head of the card reader. 2. If you don't have a keyboard wedge scanner: Your card reader comes with two heads on the end of the cable. One head plug into the keyboard port. Plug the keyboard into the other end. It should work now. Pole Display: Logic Controls PD-3000: Serial connection: After plugging in the power supply and connecting the serial connector to your PC, go to CRE--->options--->setup--->setup screen---> hardware---> where it says "pole display port" select "com1" (If you have two serial ports, it might be com2). You should be ready to go! USB Connection: Install the virtual com port drivers that come with the pole display and select either com3 or com4 in the hardware section of the setup screen of CRE. A good POS software goes a long way. Return to the POS library.
